Fitness Classes

Barre

Taught by Sophie Solow

This is a low impact yet very effective hour-long class that will tone and lengthen your muscles to create a dancer like body! Incorporates standing weight work, exercises at the barre and ab work on the mat and stretching in between! Beginners welcome. Currently held via Zoom.

Cardio Sculpt

Taught by Kristine Miller

This is a strength training class using light weights, stretch bands (provided), and your own body weight. It is a full body workout.

JOEL C. WILLIS

Joel was a former student athlete at the University of California Berkeley. After playing football, Joel found that he had a passion for health and fitness, as well as helping people obtain the best versions of themselves. In order to fuel this passion, he became a Certified Personal Trainer specializing in functional movement, athletic performance, and weight loss. After training for 3 years he found Lightning Fit and fell in love with its unique EMS technology. With his combination of exercise knowledge as well as Lightning Fit’s amazing technology, he is truly excited to get you to were you want to be.

SOPHIE SOLOW

Sophie is a freelance barre instructor and private trainer based in Orange County. She trained professionally with The Bar Method in New York City, where she taught at the premiere Soho location for four years before relocating to her hometown of Newport Beach. Sophie’s barre training works in tandem with her performance background. She has worked as a personal fitness and style consultant on both coasts. Her passion for women’s health and fitness informs her work model to make her clients feel as strong and confident as possible. Sophie offers both group classes and private sessions where she will come directly to you and create a barre studio in your home!

KRISTINE MILLER

Kristine has 17 years of experience in Personal Training and teaching Group Exercise classes. She is currently working full time at Big Canyon Country Club as a personal trainer/group exercise instructor. She has also worked at several health clubs in the area and also for the Recreation Department at UC Irvine where she received her BFA in Dance Choreography. She is certified to teach kickboxing, indoor cycling, Zumba, BASI Pilates and various dance classes. Educating and motivating others to exercise and take care of their health is what she strives to do and finds so rewarding.
