Meet our Tennis Professionals




Brett Lucas

Brett Lucas is a 2000 graduate of the University of California, Irvine where he was the captain of the tennis team and the No.1 singles and doubles player. At UCI, he was the Big West All Conference Scholar Athlete and Dean’s list recipient. Originally from Australia, he has won over 30 State, national and international tournaments and was ranked as high as No.5 in Australia. Brett has over 19 years coaching experience and has coached numerous USTA ranked juniors and NCAA Division 1 players. He also founded the tennis management company, Down Under Tennis in 2004 and currently enjoys assisting the residents of Emerald Bay achieve their tennis goals.

Sean O’Connor

Sean O’Connor is an accomplished tennis player with an impressive record.  As a junior, he trained with Robert Lansdorp and was a top junior player.  He won the 18 and under championship in the Southern California Junior Sectionals at the age of 16.  He was then recruited to Baylor University in Texas and played in the top three singles positions.  He then transferred to the University of California, Irvine and played at the number one singles position.  Sean has taught tennis to children of all ages and adults of all levels for over 14 years.  He also trains USTA junior tennis players.
